**********************************************************************************
Beginning March 7, 2022, the Hillsdale County Office of Emergency Management in conjunction with Hillsdale County Central Dispatch will start conducting monthly testing of the countywide outdoor weather sirens. These tests are conducted to ensure proper function of the sirens in the event of an actual Tornado Watch or Tornado Warning.
What to expect during testing:
During our monthly tests we will test the Tornado Watch signal first. This includes a solid steady siren that will go for approximately 30 seconds (for testing purposes). Four (4) minutes later we will test the Tornado Warning signal which is a up and down signal that will go for approximately 1 minute (for testing purposes). Please note in an Actual Tornado Event the Watch & Warning signals will go for Approximately 3 minutes.
